Stunning Aurora Borealis Glimmers in Minnesota Timelapse

The northern lights shimmered across the Minnesota sky on September 19, as the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) observed a strong geomagnetic storm.

Alexander Falconer said he filmed this footage in northern Minnesota on Tuesday as the northern lights put on a colorful show.

The NOAA said the geomagnetic storm was caused by a coronal mass ejection, rating the severity of the storm at G3, or “strong”. Credit: Alexander Falconer via Storyful
