Victim Thrown to Ground in Maryland Gas Station Carjacking

A motorist suffered serious injuries during a late-night carjacking on Friday, September 6, in Germantown, Maryland, after he pulled in to a gas station and left his engine running while in the store.

An 18-year-old male and 16-year-old female were charged with offences related to the carjacking, which took place at a 7-Eleven convenience store shortly after 1 am on the night in question.

The victim parked his car and left it unlocked and running while he went inside to pay for gas.

Within moments, as CCTV footage shows here, the victim noticed a male suspect open the driver door and a female sit in the back on the driver’s side.

He ran to the car, opened the passenger door and attempted to remove the suspects, but was thrown from the car while they tried to escape.

Police tracked the stolen car and discovered it, and the suspects, at another convenience store in Hope Mills, North Carolina, over 300 miles away.

The suspects were arrested and later charged with related offenses.
