A vineyard in California’s Napa Valley thanked firefighters on September 29 for saving its property from the Glass Fire the previous night.

Multiple fires have merged with the Glass Fire in Napa and Sonoma counties, bringing the blaze to at least 42,560 acres – about 66 square miles – as of September 29, fire officials said.

Vineyard 36 shared footage on Instagram that it said was filmed close to its property, writing that firefighters had managed to save the winery from the flames the previous night.

“Words can not express the gratitude we have for the entire Cal Fire team for all they’re doing for so many people as they continue to struggle with this fire,” Vineyard 36 wrote on Twitter.

The fire had destroyed 113 structures by Monday, the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection said. Evacuations were ordered for Napa and Sonoma counties, and the fire was zero percent contained as of September 29. Credit: Vineyard 36 via Storyful
