"This year's algal bloom is particularly pronounced because this is the summer with the largest number of tropical days since we've been keeping records. I think there were more than 40 such days by the beginning of September, and the heat wave is still ongoing. These are days with a daily temperature of over 30 degrees Celsius, which further favors algal bloom."
