Strong wind and rain obstructed visibility in parts of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula on Wednesday, September 25, as Tropical Storm Helene intensified, prompting multiple tropical storm and hurricane warnings in the region.

Footage filmed and posted to X by @luisfermm15 shows severe blustery conditions in Isla Holbox north of Cancun on Wednesday morning.

Mexico’s meteorological service warned of torrential rain and “very strong” winds.
