Labour 'can't fathom' govt approach to Covid Inquiry

Shadow Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds has criticised the government for "obstructing" the Covid Inquiry after Cabinet Office lawyers warned Boris Johnson over legal funding should he release evidence without permission. The Labour frontbencher said: "I genuinely can't fathom what the government is doing in relation to the announcements we've seen this week … it seems absurd to me that they're spending so much time preventing the inquiry having the evidence that it is asking for.".
