The current Covid travel traffic light system in the England will be scrapped from October 4th. There will be a single red list for high-risk destinations, while all other countries will be “clear” for travel. Eight destinations removed from the red list include Turkey, Pakistan and the Maldives. The government said the changes will make for a simpler system. Fully vaccinated travellers will now only have to take cheaper lateral flow tests instead of costly PCR tests. Passengers will also no longer have to take pre-departure tests when travelling into England from abroad. .
