Violent hailstorm smashes hundreds of car windows in Italy

A violent hailstorm has smashed hundreds of car windows in northern Italy. The freak weather was so powerful it closed the motorway between Milan and Naples with a number of motorists injured by flying shards of glass. Hail was also to blame for toppling a giant crane onto the top of a six-storey building in Milan.
