Cost of living: Brandon Lewis defends energy companies

Cabinet minister Brandon Lewis has criticised Labour’s proposal of a windfall tax on the profits of energy companies to ease the cost-of-living crisis. The Northern Ireland secretary said the shadow cabinet “are not really thinking through the impacts” of their proposal, whilst the government has to “make decisions about things that actually work in practice.”.
