In an interview with Yahoo Global News Anchor Katie Couric, former WWE CEO and current head of the Small Business Administration Linda McMahon had some advice for her former employee, Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson on a presidential run: “Dwayne, do your homework really, really carefully so that you’re up on all the things you want to talk about.” McMahon also said she’d be open to a presidential run by Johnson.
My advice would be, "Get ready for half the country to hate you". I know nothing about what The Rock stands for politically, don't know if he is liberal or conservative. What I do know is, our country is so divided, that nothing you say can possibly please more than 50% of the people. If you try to be on both sides of the isle, say you are pro-choice, but anti-immigration, a strange phenomenon happens, instead of pleasing everyone, everyone just hates you and you get nowhere. We are a country at each other's throats, the Presidency is not something I would wish on my worst enemy.
N
politics and the WWE probably have a lot more in common than elites would like to admit ?
G
is every future president going to be a celebrity or pseudo-celebrity now?
D
Anyone ever see Mike Judge's movie Idocracy? We're living the prequel!
S
He would be a better president than Trump.. or Reagan..
R
Why does America pay attention to, and even more troubling, seem to want 'celebrities' to occupy important political offices for which said 'celebrities' have absolutely no qualifications? Does Dwayne Johnson even read books? With Americans' attention spans at all time lows do we really need political representation by the intellectually incurious? Seem like a recipe for more and more disaster for the people, to my mind.
J
Take advice from a loser?
M
My advice would be not to listen to any advice from a McMahon
S
My advice, it you want to go democrat, study, learn politics. Try senator or governor first, If you want to go republican, treat women like dirt or sexually assault them, make fun of disabled reporters, discriminate and demean anyone that is not white, christian and stupid... oh and give out baseball caps with some slogan you don't intend to follow.
D
I think a rock would make a good president sometimes.
