STORY: Police said one of the men was Milan Radojcic, a Kosovo official of Serb ethnicity who is one of the leaders of the Serb List party. Reuters could not independently verify the identity of the man.

Reuters was able to confirm the location as Banjska Monastery from the buildings, terrain and road layout which matched satellite and file imagery of the area. Reuters was not able to independently verify the date on which the video was filmed.

Serb List, the main political party representing Serbs in northern Kosovo declared three days of mourning on Tuesday for people killed in the gun battle with Kosovo police, after the worst violence for years in the contested area.

No group has come forward to claim responsibility for the attack or explain the motives of the gunmen. Kosovo has accused Serbia of backing the armed militants; Serbia says Kosovo is to blame for mistreating residents in the Serb-majority area.
