Newcastle United soccer fans were in high spirits, sliding and playing on the wet streets of Milan ahead of the Champions League match on Tuesday, September 19, footage showed.

The English team is slated to play AC Milan on Tuesday, as the group stage of the tournament kicks off, according to the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA).

More rain was expected in the area on Wednesday and Thursday, according to forecasts from Aeronautica Militare.

The Newcastle United squad was traveling to Milan on Monday, the club said.
