California Highway Patrol Officer Charged at by Cow

Loose cattle are a regular hazard on the roads around Susanville, the local Highway Patrol says, though probably not quite in the way one cow was for Officer Brandon Pratt recently.

The California Highway Patrol in Susanville said in a Facebook post that their officers regularly handle calls relating to “large animals that are outside of fenced areas and are threatening our motoring public”.

The unfortunate Pratt, however, met a particularly aggressive bovine, video released on December 23 shows.

Dashcam footage shows the bovine charge at Pratt, who, fortunately, “escaped relatively unscathed” from the oncoming “meat locomotive”, the CHP said. Credit: California Highway Patrol Susanville via Storyful
