Residents of central Iowa were warned to take shelter as severe thunderstorms carrying wind and hail moved over the region on Friday, March 31, the National Weather Service (NWS) said.

Kevin Cavallin posted this video from the Iowa State University (ISU) campus on Friday afternoon, estimating the hail was approximately quarter-sized.
