Soccer Players With Down Syndrome Dominate Tournament in Derry, Northern Ireland

The Oxford Bulls Football Club were the stars of the Ryan McBride Soccer Sixes tournament on May 5 in Derry, Northern Ireland.

The team, which is made up of kids from the area who have Down Syndrome, defeated the Celtic Legends 6 – 2 in the tournament. Player Keigen Taylor stole the show by lobbing the ball over goalkeeper Rab Douglas.

The tournament features retired footballers on teams including Celtic Legends, Professional Footballers’ Association of Ireland, Derry City and Czech Republic. The Czech Republic team won the tournament after defeating Derry City. Credit: Kevin Morrison via Storyful
