Typhoon Kompasu brought heavy rain and flooding to China’s southern island province of Hainan on Wednesday, October 13, according to reports.

Timelapse video captured by Kim Wan shows the storm sweeping over.

The Hainan meteorological office said Kompasu made landfall at the town of Boao, on Hainan’s east coast, at around 3:40 pm local time, bringing winds speeds of up to 118.8 km/hr (approximately 73.8 mi).
