Unrest Erupts in Northwest Paris on Anniversary of 18-Year-Old's Death

Fireworks were fired at police and vehicles set alight in the northwest Parisian suburb of Argenteuil in the early hours of May 18.

The violence fell on the one-year anniversary of the death of a local 18-year-old motorcyclist. The teenager, reported only as Sabri, died in an accident near a police vehicle on May 17 of last year.
