Victorian Farmer Trying to Save Cattle Rescued From Rising Floodwaters

A farmer in Victoria, Australia, was rescued after his tractor became stuck in rising floodwaters on the night of October 4.

According to Victoria Police, the 43-year-old man was trying to help stranded cattle about 8.30 pm when he became surrounded by water in the town of Alexandra.

Emergency services rescued the man before he was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Bureau of Meteorology warned of rising floodwaters along the Goulburn River on Thursday.
