Qualifying for the Paris Olympics is already well under way in several sports and for track and field stars preparations will ramp up when the new Diamond League season kicks-off later this month in Xiamen, China. One of those stars set to feature is Mondo Duplantis. The Swede is the reigning Olympic champion and comes into the outdoor season fresh off the back of a second world indoor title in Glasgow, Scotland. It was from there that he spoke with CNN’s Amanda Davies about his passion for pole vaulting and bid to once again break the pole vault world record – something which he’s already achieved on astonishing seven previous occassions.
