The Cal City Police Department is seeking civilian volunteers

The California City Police Department is working to establish a better relationship with the community by encouraging residents to join the department in a citizen capacity. CCPD Chief Jesse Hightower says he's at least 6 officers short of what he considers to be an ideal number for his staff, and he says he'd like to have 15 or more volunteers to help fill the gap. 23ABC's Steve Virgen visited Cal City to learn more.
