Elkridge school's entire student body taking part in Earth Day projects

A Howard County school is doing its part to teach students about sustainability by getting students in every grade involved ahead of Earth Day on Saturday. Students at the Maryland International School in Elkridge created a small garden for the school's upcoming Earth Day Festival. All students, from first to 12th grades, have been working on a variety of projects to present to the community. "We worked on removing invasive species from the Patapsco State Park," ninth grader Lara Jackson said. "My class' whole thing is restoration of plants and ecosystems. So, removing invasive species really helps rebuild ecosystems and replenish plant life."
