A new French bill aims to make the internet safer for users, by fighting harassment and various online scams, as well as trying to protect children from pornography. In particular, the bill would ban users who have been convicted of fraud or hate speech from using social media. The CNIL, the French agency in charge of protecting personal data and users' rights, has yet to approve the proposed regulations. Our Science reporter Shirli Sitbon discussed some of the issues at stake with Kaspersky France's Director General Bertrand Trastour.
