Goat Born Without Rear Hooves Takes New Wheels for a Spin

A rescue goat born without rear hooves took its new wheelchair out for a spin, with Butterfly Valley Rescue and Sanctuary in Louisville, Kentucky, recording the little fella’s first ride on March 16.

Stitch, a four-month-old Nigerian dwarf goat with a congenital deformity, struggled with pains in his feet while walking without help – so some wheels were arranged to help relieve the pressure.

Stitch will soon be kitted out with a pair of prosthetic boots so the rescue goat will able to alternate between the wheelchair and walking all by himself with the help of the new kicks.

Butterfly Valley Rescue & Sanctuary told Storyful that Stitch is one of their residents in Louisville, along with six other special-needs animals including goats and mini pigs. Butterfly Valley Rescue & Sanctuary said it “provides homes to animals in need including those suffering from abuse, neglect, abandonment, injury and illness.” Credit: Butterfly Valley Rescue and Sanctuary via Storyful
