Government avoids shutdown, stocks kick off fourth quarter: Yahoo Finance Live

President Biden has signed a 45-day funding bill that keeps the government open after lawmakers passed last-minute legislation late Saturday night. On Wall Street, markets are kicking off the first trading day of the 4th quarter. This follows the worst quarter for the Dow, Nasdaq Composite, and S&P 500 since Q3 2022. Kellogg is in the news this morning after the company officially split into two publically traded companies, Kellanova and WK Kellogg Co.
