America's biggest cycling race kicks off Sunday in Baltimore, and events for the Maryland Cycling Classic are well underway. Community events took place over the weekend ahead of the 121-mile race. On Friday, the welcome reception celebrated African American achievements in pro cycling. With big names in town, like Nelson Vails, the first African American to win a cycling medal in the Olympics, local groups are promoting diversity in the sport.
