What it will take to get more women at the top of banking

American Banker has recently released a list of most powerful women of 2023. Topping the list is Citigroup CEO Jane Fraser (C).

While progress has been made in terms of women in executive roles, many believe there is still a long way to go. American Banker Senior Editor Mary Ellen Egan joins Yahoo Finance live to discuss what might be the cause for the divide in wages and opportunities for women in most organizations. Noting that the is "disappointed" in the number of women leading banks, Egan organizations should “cultivate men to help push women up” in order to support their potential rise to the top roles.

Egan suggests things like “comprehensive maternity leave” as one things companies can offer to help women maintain their roles in organizations upon their return.
