The Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike, which began May 2, ended at 12:01 a.m. on Sept. 27. A three-year "minimum basic agreement" was approved by the guild's negotiating committee on Sept. 26, NBC News reports. As a result, writers are now permitted to return to work. Members of "Strike Force 5," a podcast formed by Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers, Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel and John Oliver to benefit their out-of-work staff, took to social media to announce that their respective shows will resume.
