Home-building permits down 35% compared to last year

A record amount of single-family home-building permits were issued last month for the pikes Peak Region, but the number of building permits for the year is down by close to 35%. According to Greg Dingrando of the Pikes Peak Regional Building Department, this is because of a change to the building code, something that happens every six years.
