Orioles reach framework in lease extension negotiations

The Orioles and the Maryland state leaders reached a framework for a lease extension that would keep the team in Baltimore for decades to come. The Orioles announced during Thursday night's game that the team, the state of Maryland, Gov. Wes Moore and the Maryland Stadium Authority agreed to a 30-year lease extension. This follows a lengthy negotiation between Orioles Chairman and Managing Partner John Angelos and state officials over the current lease, which is set to expire at the end of this year.
