Pence ‘jettisoning’ most popular elements of Trump’s agenda: Strategist

In an exclusive interview with Yahoo Finance Live, Former U.S. Vice President Mike Pence (R) moved to differentiate himself from Former President Donald Trump. Former Obama Strategist Chai Komanduri and Lanhee Chen, the Hoover Institution's David and Diane Steffy Fellow in American Public Policy Studies, join Yahoo Finance Live to react to Pence’s comments.

"The unfortunate thing for Mike Pence is he’s jettisoning the most popular elements of Donald Trump’s agenda, his economic populism, and elevating the least popular elements," Komanduri says. "[It's] odd [that Pence has] chosen to fight Donald Trump on the things that people liked the most about him among the Republican base, and not necessarily the things that people like the least about him."
