Storm Agnes began impacting the south coast of Ireland on Wednesday, September 27, bringing damaging winds and causing coastal flooding as it tracked northward across the country, local media reported.

This footage shows waves crashing over a seawall and onto a road at Red Strand in west County Cork, near the towns of Ardfield, Castlefreke, and Rosscarbery.

According to RTE News, the storm caused cancellations and delays on flight, trains and ferries. In the Cork town of Youghal, winds ripped a roof off a building. Credit: Kieran Fitzpatrick via Storyful
