Brian Blessed says Flash Gordon is the Queen's favourite film

As Flash Gordon celebrates its 40th anniversary, Yahoo chats with stars Sam J Jones (Flash Gordon) and Brian Blessed (Prince Vultan) about the the classic sci-fi film's enduring appeal. The film has never looked better thanks to its brand new 4K remaster, overseen by director Mike Hodges, which will be welcome news in Buckingham Palace apparently as Blessed says the film comes with a royal seal of approval. The 4K remaster of Flash Gordon is in cinemas now, and comes to 4K UHD Collector’s edition, Blu-ray, Steelbook, DVD and digital on 10 August.
