Evacuations Ordered as French Fire Grows in Kern County, California

The French Fire burning northeast of Bakersfield, California, grew to over 4,200 acres and was five percent contained as of August 20, according to local officials.

The fire broke out on Wednesday, west of Lake Isabella, in Kern County. Authorities have since issued evacuation orders to affected areas.
