The Transgender Pride Flag was raised above Philadelphia City Hall in Pennsylvania to mark International Transgender Day of Visibility on March 31.

Footage shared by the Philadelphia Office of LGBT Affairs shows Celena Morrison, the office’s executive director, speaking before raising the flag.

“This year we are honored to receive an official proclamation from Mayor Kenney recognizing the City of Philadelphia’s, and the Office of LGBT Affairs’s, commitment to continue investing and protecting, supporting, advocating for, and centering our transgender, non-conforming communities,” Morrison says.

“We raise the trans flag today, outside of City Hall, the largest municipal government building in the world [sic], as a symbol of that commitment.” According to Visit Philadelphia, Philadelphia City Hall is the largest municipal building in the United States.
