The first doses of Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine arrived at Calgary International Airport on December 14, the Alberta premier said.

Premier Jason Kenney said the province had received the first 3,900 doses of the vaccine, calling it “a game-changing moment in the fight against the pandemic.”

Much larger shipments are scheduled to arrive over the course of the next week, he said.

The first doses of the vaccine would go to ICU nurses, Kenney said.
