Early risers in parts of South Carolina witnessed a total lunar eclipse in the early hours of Tuesday, November 8, as voting in the midterm elections began.

This footage was posted to Facebook by South Carolina State Parks, who said a ranger captured it from Myrtle Beach Park on Tuesday morning. “What a great video, with the sound of the ocean in the background!” the park said.

According to NASA, it was the last total lunar eclipse until 2025. It was visible across North and Central America, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. Credit: South Carolina State Parks via Storyful
