Drone Footage Shows Boston Landmarks Devoid of Crowds

A drone captured footage of empty historic landmarks in Boston, Massachusetts, on May 8, as the coronavirus lockdown has kept people at home, a video shows.

Massachusetts businesses remain closed and residents continue to be under a stay-at-home order, but Gov Charlie Baker has announced that on May 18 some nonessential businesses would be allowed to reopen.

In this video, a drone was flown over parts of Boston, capturing the usually bustling metropolis almost abandoned. Among the famous landmarks featured are the George Washington Statue in the city’s Public Garden, and Quincy Market. Credit: Evan Patten/@drones.up via Storyful
