North Korea tests river water and air for COVID

STORY: In the video provided by the North's official news agency KCNA, which Reuters cannot independently verify, health officials of the capital in personal protective equipment having meeting and getting on car with containers for coronavirus test.

Vice chief of Pyongyang Municipal Hygienic and Anti-epidemic center, Jo Chol Ung, said the city has conducted water quality tests of Taedong river and Pothong river to guarantee the safety and hygiene of drinking water and prevent the spread of COVID-19.

KCNA on Friday said about 100,460 more people showed fever symptoms as of 6 p.m. on Thursday, and reported one new death amid the country's first confirmed coronavirus outbreak.
