Von Der Leyen Visits Kyiv to Mark Europe Day

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv on May 9, outlining her support for Zelensky’s decision to celebrate Europe Day in Ukraine.

Zelensky’s announcement came a day before Russia marked Victory Day, its annual celebration of victory over Nazi Germany.
