STORY: BuzzFeed says it's planning to use

artificial intelligence to make content

The Wall Street Journal reported that the

company will use ChatGPT creator Open AI

to enhance its quizzes and

further personalize its content

The news sent BuzzFeed stock skyrocketing

more than 150% to $2.45 a share

It was trading about 50% higher earlier in the day

after a separate Journal report outlined a

$10-million deal with Meta Platforms

in which BuzzFeed will help bring more

creators to Facebook and Instagram

BuzzFeed has seen its shares tank over 90%

since going public in December 2021

It said last month that it would cut

12% of its workforce to rein in costs
