Heavy machinery starts Hurricane Ian clean-up

STORY: Using front loaders and backhoes, soldiers serving in the 202 Red Horse Squadron started the long process of clearing the remains of houses and boats from the streets of the coastal island.

Florida, North and South Carolina are trying to recover from the destruction wrought by Hurricane Ian, one of the most powerful storms to hit the U.S. mainland that left tens of billions in cost and an unknown death toll in its wake.
