On Wednesday, Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt signed a bill requiring public school students to use only the bathroom of the sex listed on their birth certificate. “It’s about safety, it’s about protection, it’s about common sense,” the Republican House author of the bill said. “The goal of this bill is to protect our children.”
