A jeepney full of passengers was rescued after getting stuck in a flooded river in the Philippines on (February 22). The silver jeepney vehicle was carrying more than a dozen locals as well as food supplies for their village. But it was submerged by a flash flood from heavy rain while driving through the river in Antique province. Footage shows how local construction workers used a backhoe excavator to drag the bus to safety after its engine cut out. Aron Paller from the nearby town of San Remigio said that the jeepney's engine suddenly stopped after a flash flood hit them as they crossed. He said: "We were not hurt, but all the food was wet. We are still thankful that help came immediately." The San Remigio town locals are using rafts to cross the river during rainy season but the rafts can only carry a few people and heavy items so they used the jeepney to cross. Aron also said that local officials promised to build a bridge immediately after the incident has been reported.

Been there, done that in the mountains up north.

jeepney is way in too deep, should have snorkel, they'll have to drain that engine and refill it with new oil

the money for the bridge went to mansions and expensive vehicles of politicians and govt officials. haha. No president is able to stop corruption in the philippines not even duterte. because for me, congress is like the biggest syndicate in the country. haha

Several things are evident from this video. First, someone doesn't know how to use a camera!!! 2nd, STUPID Filipinos are hard headed, stubborn, and impatient; they did not want a little inconvenience so they drive through a flooded river KNOWING it was too deep! 3rd, they ruined the engine of that jeepney by letting it get flooded with water. 4th the passengers are STUPID too, since they are locals they ALSO knew that the river was too deep but decided it was a good idea to follow the idiot driver and ride into the flooded river.
