:: “They don’t buy it because there is ‘2024 Olympics’ on it, but yeah, it’s just putting the fun in – let’s make it happy. As it should be.”

The owner and creator of the Du Pain et des Idees bakery that is selling the Olympic bread, Christophe Vasseur, said it isn’t about driving sales, but more just to bring a bit of joy to customers with the kickoff to the Summer Games just days away.

The writing on the bread is not the only Olympic thing about Vasseur’s ‘pain des amis’, featuring the unique print.

The full bread tips the scales at a whopping 7 kilograms (15.4 pounds) before it is sliced into blocks and sold by weight.
