Play Stops at Women's Soccer Match as Toddler Runs Off With Corner Flag

There was a brief delay in an All-Island Cup game between Cork City and DLR Waves on June 17 when a toddler ran off with one of the corner flags.

Cork City were live tweeting the game, and said that in the 44th minute there was a “brief stoppage” after “a toddler had run off with the corner flag”.

Images from the LOITV broadcast showed the toddler, who seemed reluctant to give up the new toy until an adult stepped in and play resumed.
