Nikita, a polar bear at Salt Lake City’s Hogle Zoo, was spotted making “snow angels” on Tuesday, December 13, the zoo said.

The zoo closed for a “snow day” on Tuesday after the area received more than 10 inches (254 mm) of snow, according to the National Weather Service.

Video posted by the Hogle Zoo (@HogleZoo) on Tuesday shows the bear rolling around in the Salt Lake City snow.

The zoo said that the polar bear is equipped with water-repellent fur to “shake off water or ice” and “small ears and tail [to] prevent heat loss,” helping the animals thrive in a cold environment. Credit: @HogleZoo via Storyful
