Microsoft shares slipped in pre-market trading after the company reported its fiscal fourth quarter results. The tech giant beat Wall Street estimates on both the top and bottom lines, but slowing growth in its cloud businesses has investors concerned. Yahoo Finance's Brad Smith listened to the company's earnings call. Smith highlighted what Microsoft CFO Amy Hood (MSFT) said about investments in its cloud infrastructure as the interest in generative AI grows. Smith noted that corporate interest in AI will be key for Microsoft going forward. "One thing that is going to be amazingly important for investors to pay close attention to is how much companies are willing to continue spending on some of those AI efforts," Smith said.
