Trump Tours Gun Store in South Carolina

Former President Donald Trump toured a gun store in Summerville, South Carolina, during a visit to the state on Monday, September 25.

Local media WCB News captured the moment Trump pointed to and posed with a Glock branded with his likeness at the Palmetto State Armory, saying “Wow … I’ve got to buy one. I want to buy one.”

The moment raised concerns that Trump, who faces four separate criminal cases, had bought the weapon, as US federal law prohibits the sale of guns to people under felony indictment.

Trump spokesman Steven Cheung later clarified to CNN journalist Alayna Treene that Trump had not actually bought a gun at the armory.

Local media reported that Trump made several other stops during his visit to Summerville, including a campaign office and boat manufacturer, before urging a rally of supporters to deliver a strong turnout in the state’s primary elections on February 24.
