Protesters Invade Paris Stock Exchange Building

Protesters against French pension reforms briefly invaded the Euronext stock exchange building in Paris’s La Defense business quarter on Thursday, April 20.

Extended footage shows protesters arriving in the business suburb and entering the Euronext building.

The group set off fireworks inside the lobby before moving up the stairs.

Local media reported that the action was carried out by striking railway workers and their supporters.

President Emmanuel Macron, who has faced a backlash over his unpopular pension reforms, has announced a 100-day plan to address public concerns, and invited trade unions and employers’ organizations to discuss the issues with him.
