Seoul residents worry as Typhoon Khanun makes impact

STORY: Warnings have been issued across South Korea, with more than 330 flights cancelled and more than 10,000 people moved to safety.

Gwanghwamun subway station in central Seoul closed one of its gates connected to Gwanghwamun Square to prevent possible safety accidents, while hundreds of scheduled trains bound for Busan were cancelled at the capital’s main railway station.

The storm has brought up to 2.36 inches (60 mm) of rain per hour in areas on the east coast with maximum wind speeds of 56 mph (90 kph) in parts of Gyeongsang Province and Jeju Island, according to South Korea's weather agency.
